Fine lines and wrinkles

Fine lines and wrinkles are a part of the aging process, excessive exposure to sun and pollutants, smoking, drinking, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, movement and expression lines and other skin problems. As you approach middle age your skin gets thinner and less elastic, fine lines and wrinkles appear when you skin has lost the ability to rejuvenate from the process of wear and tear. The body and the skin get exhausted and needs catalysts to aid in the process of freeing the skin from fine lines and wrinkles.

By middle age the skin begins to show change as the pigment and the colour of your skin is no longer uniform some people tend to have patch skin owing to hormonal changes and post menopause the body gets slight hormonally imbalance. There is a gradual increase in the skin surface area and around the eyes and the neck, the skin begins to sag and fine line and wrinkles become more and more prominent.

For middle aged people a daily skin care regime can include cleansing the face with a turmeric cleanser which is usually suitable for all skin types. For a dry and a dehydrated skin type one can use an Aloe Vera cleanser. A skin toner to make the skin firm and visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles will be helpful. A nourishing moisturising lotion will be helpful for an oily skin type, a gel based SPF will work well and a dense almond nourishing cream will work wonders for a dry skin type. People with an oily skin type are advised to exfoliate twice a week to clean clogged pores and remove dead skin cells. Exfoliation helps the skin by removing dead skin cells and revealing a fresher and a fine lines and wrinkle free skin.

Apply a face pack to revitalise the glow of your skin and lighten blemishes and tighten facial skin. At old age your skin gets a mottled look and a person has at least 2 to 3 pigments on his/her face. An Aloe Vera cleanser for dry skin and a gel based cleanser for oily skin will work well. Use a lotion which has an efficient pH balance to remove skin residue and tighten pores. A vitamin E skin cream should be used if your skin is dry. Exfoliate once a week, apply a nourishing pack twice a week and use an under eye cream to rid your face of fine lines and wrinkles. If you have an extremely oily skin which is rare amongst old age people you may choose to use an under eye gel. Most importantly do not undertake too much stress, it will show on your face and visibly increase fine lines and wrinkles. A calamine face pack helps control pimples and blemishes, it acts as a good sun block, reduces acne and blemishes and it generally it suits all skin types.
