Skin coloration or dark spots are main reasons for blemishes which manifest after a breakout of pimple. Even blackheads and whiteheads cause blemishes. Other factors such as aging, stress, too much make up, UV rays, and pollution can also result in skin blemish. Skin disorders such as raised bumps, raw patches, and pigmentation and fine lines are also known as blemishes.

Home Remedies for Blemishes
- Mix two tea spoon of gram flour and a pinch of turmeric. Add a few drops of lemon juice to it. Now add one tea spoon of curd it this mixture to make a paste. Apply this paste to your face and other affected areas with blemishes, daily for a few days
- Mix powder of dry lemon peels and dry orange peels with rose water and curd water. Apply it on skin areas with blemishes. Milk cream can also be added instead of curd water
- Apply a paste of finely ground almonds and yogurt. It helps in cleansing and exfoliating the skin, making it glow
- Apply a paste of coarsely ground green gram, on the blemished skin to cleanse it. This natural cleanser bleaches the skin and makes the skin appear lighter
- Apply juice of raw potatoes on skin blemishes. Presence of compounds like sulphur, potassium, phosphorus and chlorine in potato juice, helps to bleach the skin naturally and clear blemishes.
- Apply a mixture of tomato juice and lemon juice on your face or skin blemishes at other areas daily with the help of a cotton ball. This helps in lightening your skin tone and facial hair and reduces skin blemishes
- Mix 1 tea spoon of milk powder with 1 tea spoon of honey, 1 tea spoon of lemon juice, and half tea spoon of almond oil. Apply this paste on the infected area for 10-15 minutes. This pack helps to glow the skin and also removes blemish scars.
- To get rid of blemishes a piece of cotton soaked in raw milk can be used to wipe the face two times a day in the morning and at bed time. This can remove dirt and also unclog the pores.
- Apply a mixture of oatmeal, curd and tomato juice on the face for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. It helps to remove the tan and scars.
- Vitamin E is capable of reducing the production of melanin which is responsible for hyper pigmentation. It can be applied on the skin as oil or cream and also can be taken as an oral supplement.
- Dehydration of the skin increases the risk of blemishes and hence should be prevented. It is most important to drink lots of fluids throughout the day and take vitamin C. Both of these improves skin make your skin more radiant and healthy.
