During the fifth week of pregnancy there will be no visible changes in your body and an outsider will not be able to realize that you are pregnant.

 

 Bodily changes during fifth week of pregnancy

 

Women during their second pregnancy can experience some kind of bloating in the abdomen during this phase. And one must remember that bloating in the abdomen is also a sign of menstrual period. So many times women might think that they are pregnant but it can turn out to be a symptom for your impending menstrual period. In some cases, women begin to experience symptoms of pregnancy like the urge to urinate more often, tenderness in the breasts, nausea, etc during the fifth week of pregnancy. Morning sickness might also be experienced by some women but in majority of the cases women do not have to deal with the problem of morning sickness till the end of the fifth week of the pregnancy. Morning sickness is a misleading name as a pregnant woman can feel nauseous at any time of the day, and it necessarily does not have to be in the morning only. Hence one should be ready to deal with morning sickness during any time of the day. If your condition gets worse due to morning sickness then you should consult your doctor. There can be cases where the women might not experience any symptoms of pregnancy, but it is absolutely normal. If you are too worried then you can consult your doctor.  

 

Symptoms during fifth week of pregnancy

 

But the most common symptom which is experienced by almost everybody during the fifth week of pregnancy is fatigue. Fatigue is generally experienced during the entire span of pregnancy but it is much more severe during the first trimester of pregnancy. If you feel very exhausted then you must makes some changes in your daily routine and try to get adequate amount of rest. Some women might be tempted to have a cup of coffee to lift up their spirits but they should avoid doing so as caffeine can hinder the development of the fetus. The development of heart, the central nervous system, and bones begins on the onset of the fifth week of pregnancy. A lot of development takes place in the heart as it starts to have different chambers through which it begins to pump blood. The heart gets developed from mesoderm, which is a layer of cell. Bones and muscles also develop from mesoderm.

 

The rate of fetus development is different in all the cases. For example, some women can have skeletal development in the fetus during the fifth week of pregnancy but some women will not experience the same, at this time and this should not be a cause of concern among people. The umbilical cord also starts to develop during the fifth week of pregnancy. At this time the size of the baby is just one millimeter, which is similar to the size of a rice grain. Fifth week of pregnancy is a crucial week as a lot of vital organs start developing during this time.
