Recipes for Homemade Face Masks

Face masks help firm up our skin and tighten the pores. Face masks with simple ingredients found in most kitchens can be easily made and used.

  1. Mix 2 spoonfuls each of gram flour and milk cream to make a moisturizing mask. Apply over the face and wash off after 15 minutes.

  2. Mix 2 spoonfuls of finely ground oatmeal to a spoon of honey to make a moisturizing face mask. Apply on the face and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing.

  3. Mix 2 egg whites with a spoonful of sour curd. Apply over skin and let dry. Wash off after 15 minutes.

  4. Mash a ripe banana and apply over face to moisturize. Wash off after 20 minutes.

  5. Pumpkin pulp moisturizing mask: Mash the pulp of a ripe pumpkin. Add crush almonds and apply over face. Wash off after 15 minutes.

  6. Mix two spoonfuls of Multani Matti (Fuller’s earth) to a spoon of sour curd and a spoon of water. This is a drying mash, hence apply over the face and wash off in 10 minutes.

  7. Mix two spoonfuls each of honey and curds. Apply over the face and keep refreshing as it dries. Wash after 30 minutes for super soft skin.

  8. Papaya face mask: Mash the pulp of a ripe papaya and apply over face rejuvenating the face. Wash off after 20 minutes.

  9. Grind coffee powder exceedingly fine. Mix two spoonfuls with water and apply over face. The coffee granules exfoliate the skin and take off dead skin cells. Rub off the mask and rinse with Luke warm water.

  10. Blend cucumber with thick curds in a blender and apply over face for a rich moisturizing face mask.

  11. Honey-Apple face mask: This face mask moisturizes skin in the dry winters. Blend pulp of a ripe apple with a spoonful of honey and apply over face. Wipe off after 15 minutes.

  12. Mash pulp of a ripe avocado and apply over face for a rich, smoothening face mask. Wipe off after 15 minutes.

  13. Mix 2 spoonfuls of curd and corn flour for an effective exfoliating face mask. Apply over face and wash off after 10 minutes.

  14. Aloe Vera pulp with milk cream is an excellent cure for sun burnt and tanned skin .Apply over face and wash off after 15 minutes.

  15. Mix two spoonfuls of rosewater with glycerin and leave on skin for 5 minutes before rinsing dry.

  16. Neem- clay mask is good for oily skin. Mix two spoonfuls of ground neem leaves, a spoonful of glycerin with two spoonfuls of Fuller’s earth. Apply on face and wash after 10 minutes.
